Thumbs up RFI Inter mode gone.

Hi everyone.
Just this morning I had found that the Inter mode pager noise is 100% gone. I hear no pager noise at all over the Rail band Channels. This is such great news. I had to put up with this for one too many years. This is such a good feeling that it is all but gone. Later.

Allan,

i'm not a railfan per se, but i'm curious as to what happened for your pager intermod to be gone? Did you install a filter on your end, change antennas, etc.? Or do you think that the paging transmitter that was active just isn't active anymore. If the former, I'm curious what you did to get rid of the pager interference.

Mike

I just talked to my next door neighbor and he told me that Washington Co. just switched to the new Digital P25 simplex system just recently. There will be no more pagers on the 155.000Mhz band. As for other parts of Nebraska. That may be different. For now. I have been waiting for this moment for a long time. Now I can hear Trains for miles without no Pager RFI.

Digital does tend to stop all that intermod! Now, we have to wait for the rail road freqs to go P25!

I love going to the CSX Manchester yard - it's so far out in the sticks I don't think they even have pagers out there!
