Default Rail Road and Digital

Hi Everyone. Does anyone know of any Rail Road communications going digital in the future? I wondering about the VHF 158-161 band. Anything in the Boston area? Amtrak or MBTA Commuter rail?

Nothing to worry about with digital for a long time. But might need to be able to change channel spacing to 12.5 around 2013 or so. But most scanners can do that. Even without that, you'd probably still hear the new channels, just not as clear as possible.

The channel spacing in the VHF railroad band is already 15kHz. Wouldn't the next increment be 7.5kHz?

The center frequencies are 15kHz apart, but the channel bandwidth is still wide.
