Matt...Matt ..Matt.... SEARCH and Listen.

What have you seen, and what have you heard....

I'm happy to help, but you need to Try a little here..

I would also URGE you invest in a copy of the Local Scanner Guide
which is put out by ScannerMaster

161.2950 has been covered and covered. And yes it is used

Matt, spend some time listening. Take notes, make notes. Then report back what you found. Channels change, usage might be little to none for a period then lots. Give it a month, then post what you have heard

Freq, Tone, Usages

A year or two ago, there were reports the MBTA Police were shifting to ProVoice. Does anybody if that is still the plan or how far along they are? I don't live in the Boston area but visit family there a couple time a year so it's a little hard to keep with things like this.

Thank you,
Barry

MBTA Operations[mostly simulcasts from the UHF-T band channels] has been using it, but I have not heard the Transit PD on the 800 TRS

It's been reported that it's still in the plans, but don't hold your breathe.
