Default MTA (Eastern Division) LIRR Freqs.

75.44 MHz & 75.6 MHz listed under the callsign: KB92517 has been listed for low power use at: 93-59 183rd St. in Hollis, Queens, a huge number of New York scanner websites have been displaying these two mystery frequencies for decades but never mentions what they are used for, yes I'm that old. The FCC frequency allocation website list them as being assigned to the fire service for callbox use, when I resided in Queens Village I have visited the now defunct Hollis train station looking for anything that would resemble anything that could transmit on any frequency & couldn't find anything, anybody have any idea what the story is with this?

I do know that about 15-20 years ago Hempstead Fire had 70mc call boxes. We shared the some of the same frequencies. Could be some one either re-licensed not knowing they wern't being used anymore or when the agency changed names the FCC extended their license, and now that call box system is no longer in use.
