The guys got a point. Around here in town where 2 different tracks cross our town, there is not a single crossing arm to block the tracks when a train passes. Go outside the town, and all railroad crossings have crossing arms/gates and blinking lights.

So areas where 1000's of cars pass over tracks, there are no gates. Go out into the sticks, where in some streets, maybe 40 cars pass daily, there are gates.

Makes ya wonder.....

No matter what you do or say to the RR, they won't put any crossing guards up UNTIL someone gets hurt or killed. Same as when you are trying to get a traffic light installed.

It appears to have been removed from YouTube by the user.

Default Railroad Crossing Video

I remember Timkilbrides video, very interesting, too bad the user removed it from Youtube but I think this was the point that he was trying to get across, sort of like the end just doesn't justify the means. I read somewhere after the California crash in METRA territory AMTRAKs legal department is now starting to enact lawsuits againts accident victims or their next of kin for any damage incurred to their engines & rolling stock as a result of these accidents.
