Default Railroad Frequencies & Related Websites

I appreciate the railroad related PMs, Although I have an AMTRAK avatar & am a former Noo Yawka I am nowhere near an expert on the subject as it applies to the NY-NJ-CT tristate area anymore as I now reside in the Twilight Zone & have been out of touch with the ability to access up to date accurate frequency info, my own post queries can attest to that. I'm sure there are active railroad employees or knowlegeble Metro NY-NJ-CT area railfans on the site who can answer your questions better then I can if you post them so everybody can share the info. My avatar reflects my love for that railroad, I was never an employee. So with that having been said I am going to post some websites that contain railroad frequencies for the tri-state area first then later on I'll start posting some actual railroad websites, Including the "WIKI" editions to give newcomers to the hobby some insite & history into the particular railroads they wish to listen to. Please keep in mind that a number of these list will take some navigating to find the specific information you seek & some will more then likely be outdated and/or innacurate as the railroad communications systems in the Big Apple have been & still are in a constant state of flux with mergers, aquisitions, communications technology upgrades, etc. Anybody please jump in when innacurate and/or outdated material is spotted. Again PMs are appreciated but are available on-site for contacta of a more personal nature, Threads & post are for everyones benefit so let's share, fair enough?

PS: A large majority of answers can be found in the RR database for the three states & the Metro NYC area, along with checking the WIKI section, not to mention reading all the railroad threads from the very begining.

Of course RRs own members websites come first:

www.n2nov.net

www.w2lie.net

www.scannerman5555.proboards27.com

DPD Productions - Antennas & Accessories for the RF Professional & Radio Hobbyist

CSX Dispatcher Desk Codes (Also check Botes sticky at the top of this forum)

The railroad.net site is a great source of information that FLRAILMAN listed. Lots of knowledgeable people on there.

Thanks to your information links, I was easily able to locate the frequencies (or at least some of them) for the rail head at our friendly neighborhood GM plant. The plant is about 5 miles away as the crow flies and I am using an indoor antenna, but I am still able to pick up some of their transmissions. Hopefully GM will get their act together and go back to full operation instead of just one shift and my scanner will stop a little more frequently on that bank.

Glad to add you FLRAILMAN!

Default Website transfer problems

As some of you can see there are some RR stations, branches, lines, yards & other related subjects missing from some of the RRs I've been posting especially on the WIKIPEDIA sites, this is not intentional, I can't explain why but either WIKIPEDIA is unable to transfer the sites for whatever reason as they are coming up on my PC & I'm even trying to diagnose this problem by transferring the sites from my PC to my laptop & it works every time, however some sites are not transferring from WIKIPEDIA to Radioreference, so postings may start to look inconsistant with the subject railroad until I can rectify this situation, thanks for your patience.
