UP authority changes

Starting today I believe, UP is combining multiple main track authorities into one form, known as the Track Authority Form. They rolled track permits, track warrants and track & time into one form carried by MoW and train crews.

So, when you start hearing "X box 8...." etc on CTC tracks or the such, it does not mean that its gone to TWC. Its just how the form is done. Basically it looks like a track warrant they always used, but with some modifications.

If I heard right, you will basically hear in CTC territory a Box 8 given to MoW folks, or trains in where a track permit would be given to (going against the current of traffic).

Just about everything else is the same.

Yes they came out with a new form that was effective at midnight on April 1st. Been fun listening to dispatchers and crews..

Actually April 2 it took into effect, but close enough.

Yeah, My brother in law called and told me he gave me wrong date. So much for him being in know working for UP. Had to give him heck over it.

Sounds like working great around here as well.
