Westerly ambulance

Saw a Westerly ambulance on Rt. 85 in Waterford CT around 11pm Saturday night heading back to Rhode Island I would assume. Just wondering what they were doing out there. I would take a guess and say they had a transport to a Hartford hospital. Route 85 then 11 then 2 then 84 is the route to get to Hartford.
