Not happening this week or next - give it time. It'll happen when it happens.

Those are the plans. Don't hold your breath. It's government work and there is no such thing as a 'deadline', just "target" dates.
Remeber, the first part is "rebanding" all the other fancy stuff like P25 is months and months down the road.

Status Update: "...may be October for completion"
I asked my comm center supervisor buddy for a status update, and here's what he wrote: "No update other than reading still moving forward . . . [Sacramento County Sheriff's Department] may delay some of the final phase so may be October for completion."

I've noticed that the sites referenced in the discussion below talk about new sites added to the system (Citrus Heights, Rancho Murieta, etc):
Some Interesting info About The SRRCS
It appears that these are maintained under separate system licenses. They also appear to have applications for the new frequencies.
Wonder why they are keeping those licensed separately?

They have to. The FCC only allows six fixed locations on a license, and WNYR751 has six locations (of the seven currently licensed).

Does anyone know if they've been fooling with the CC channels lately.. I'm loosing the CC at night and picking it up around 10-11am on 868.9625... Does anyone know what the new system will be online or what the CC usually is at night?

Did they just go rebanded? Lots of Sac PD units reporting radio problems.
Now that I am in Ohio I can only monitor online.

They were supposed to switch Oct 3. Don't remember if it was county site first or city site first.
I can only hear them at night so I can't confirm a change.

I was listening to the county site as of 08:30 (10/4) and they were still on old frequencies. I also heard talk of radio problems ...

The prior control channels are all quiet. At 12:30 (10/4) I found the control channel for system 7A3B at 853.3500 MHz. So it does look like they've rebanded the city sites.
Does anyone know when they plan to reband the county sites?
Funny they wait until the rain comes to do this.
