At 23:48 hours there was an incident requiring 4 ground ambulances. The supervisor had all radio traffic go to TAC 2. I'm assuming that would be:
462.50000 RM 107.2 PL AMR Dispatch EMS Dispatch (Dispatcher Only, Same Traffic as 461.525)

I am only getting channel clicks with a weak signal. Is there another channel they switch to that isn't listed?

Was listening to the archived recordings of the Lodi vehicle crash and again heard reference to switching to TAC 2 for AMR.

There was another big crash in Lodi like 2-3 days ago with 4 units. Again the super said to go to tac. As I was listen on one radio and scanning on another radio I heard what sounded like car to car on the dispatch channel. At time the dispatcher on the other units where talking and no one said a thing about talking over each other. So can the tac be simplex on the dispatch channel?

The only other channel listed for AMR is AMR 2 but that says it is just dispatch repeated. I have heard units on that channel recently but seems to be in line with channel 1. I'm stumped.

Valley Comm TAC 2 MCI

Have an MCI incident going on in North Stockton. AMR Supervisor requested a TAC channel. Units involved switched to TAC 2. I have the second EMS channel listed in the DB but it isn't holding any traffic for that incident.

how close was it to your location? did you hear anything on the output? I wish I had a handheld for use at work, I see AMR daily and could have them key up on close call.

they used to be a part of the fisher fleet talk system. maybe check those freqs for that system.

The incident was just over 4 1/2 miles from my house. Maybe AMR units have a mobile to mobile channel that can only be heard by unit radios who are in close proximity to one another?

The traffic I did hear on the dispatcher only channel, 462.500 PL 107.2 at the time of the incident was about transfer times. Definitely was a separate dispatcher from the main channel, but the content was separate.

Hey guys, just joined RadioReference.
I was monitoring the incident that russianspd was talking about with my ASTRO Saber. With my scanner, I was monitoring for AMR and TAC 2 seems to be on frequency 463.9500. I have an old Pro-404 from Radio Shack so no PL or DPL decoding but it was this frequency. It is one of their frequencies that is on their FCC License. Can somebody with decoding capabilities decode the tone that they use if any for confirmation. I did submit this to RadioReference. I know that finding TAC 2 has been stumping some for some time.

Thanks for the info and welcome to the club. Nice having a local from my own town. Seems everyone around here is more up north or south.

I'll plug that in for future reference. Don't necessarily want to say that I would want TAC 2 being active again, given it's use.

Thanks for the the nice welcome guys.

Well, I was not in the immediate area. I just picked up that they wanted a Tac channel so I just scanned the frequencies that were on their license. I was scanning from my house which is about 5.8 Miles away from the incident according to Google Maps, so it might be repeated.

Stockton is working an MCI with 3 persons shot, VALLEY COMM using TAC 2. Supervisor originally request TAC 3, not sure if that exists or not. Can confirm that 463.9500 on 107.2PL found by tsukikirei is indeed TAC 2. Submitted to DB.

Valleycomm Dispatch Swap

Thought I would pipe in and let those know who monitor AMR/Valleycomm in San Joaquin that they have been using Tac 2 463.9500 pl 107.2 as their main dispatch lately. I've only recently had that in so hopefully those who haven't added have an answer as to why medics have seemed quiet lately for those who haven't added it.

Yeah I noticed that today too. I updated the DB making it a repeater and adding the PL. I'll give it a few more days to see if this is a permanent change or temporary.
