Default San Francisco Rebanding

I heard that San Francisco will start the rebanding process in January 2009. Has anybody heard anything? the nre freqencies, etc?

Nope...I don't think it'll be in Jan.

When it happens the freqs above 866MHz should be -15MHz from what they are now, unless the license states differently.

According to their latest waiver filing, SF has requested a completion date of 8/16/2010, so maybe they got their FRA wrapped up finally. Radio reprogramming is estimated at 12 months, and total project 20 months. Their new channels should be 15 MHz down from the repacked channels allocated in Northern California by Motorola in 2005. The smaller agencies that have rebanded so far have followed the plan.
