Any reports from the field if CHP is still using the aircraft mounted repeater on
one of the CalFire tac inputs as the escort frequency ??

Also search the database here for a forum post from last year on Media/team frequencies in use.

Any spectator EMS is responsibility of local jurisdiction. Race EMS uses a contracted paramedic rig that follows the race for the riders/teams only.

Last year it was AMR.

Here is the list from last year's post.

http://forums.radioreference.com/ca...orum/132315-amgen-tour-california-2009-a.html

Escort repeater will probably stay the same, but the actual race channels will most likely be different as they are licensed every year with an STA.

151.3025 was borrowed by CHP from CDF for the escort team traveling statewide. We installed VHF units in all of the cars (the new Chargers!) and had a repeater mounted in the CHP fixed wing. These units IDed as Charles units during the race. There was also some use of Tac 6 .

The Incident Commander would coordinate with the Division coordinators on whatever local frequency was chosen, usually Blue.

Our fixed wing had the following repeaters for race staff:

464.975 is what we call "Radio Tour". It is an information channel in French and English on current race status for team managers and staff.

463.4625 is our "Caravan" channel and is used for general caravan management and control on the road. Due to some interference we switched over to our spare repeater which we ID'ed as "Spare 2" on 463.5125.

464.475 was used by the race officials.

463.1125 and 463.600 are used by TV production.

Staff on the ground had the following simplex in their radios:

Build Crew/Construction: 457.350
Expo: 451.325
Security: 461.025
Media: 462.125
Medical: 451.775

We used a new RF company this year and had some issues with the repeaters interfering with each other. For those wondering the frequencies change most years due to coordination in the various areas we travel in.

Hope everyone enjoyed the race!

San Joaquin S/O

The race is not coming through San Joaquin County. You might possibly mean Stanislaus S/O
