Looks like Hayward Fire main frequency is down at the moment. I'm getting conversations on 154.070. Can anyone confirm this?

Apparently, this is ALCO simulcast. This frequency appears to be ALCO Fire Tac 4. Mostly AMR type calls, but dispatch is ID'ing as ALCO Tac 4

Looks like ALCO had problems. Dispatch just announced, to go back to their respective channels, the radio shop has fixed the problem. Interesting the 154.07 is a Hayward Fire Tac channel, or was? Anyway over and out, enjoy the heat!

Hayward on 154.070

We use this frequency as a secondary channel whenever we have multiple incidents. I just purchased some new equipment for them so we should be turning on the new channel soon. Hope this helps

Who is "we"?

Isn't primary Hayward FD UHF? Why would they secondary be VHF?

This has been a hayward freq forever... it's Hayward channel 2.. They took it a long time ago when alco went from lowband 33.920 dispatch and high band 154.070 to the trunk system in 93'. Alco within the last couple years started using this freq as vhf tac 4... Mostly used in the altamont.

Got it.

Wow, 33.92. I remember those days. AMR used to be on 936.7125 "Orange" too haha. They were the only thing over 800 back then I think

Yep, KMA is correct. I am installing a new dispatch channel for Fire on 453.1500 the old BART channel for those that remember . Should be up in December. Happy listening.

why leave 460.6000

Nope just adding a repeated tactical channel.. we have been using several simplex channels as tacticals but it just doesn't work well for us. We will be keeping the 460.6000

And which frequencies have you been using as tacs so those can be added to DB

Do you plan on going to the new eastbay 700/800 trunked system when it is up and running?

yup
When you say the "tacs are just not working" - are you talking about portable to portable comms in big buildings, or portable to portable comms in hills and valleys? Or something else? Just curious.

We have been working from one Channel for years and trying to use the VHF tacs when we had more than one incident working at at time, clearly we cant do that any longer. So we are going to have a seperate dispatch and tac channel. The 460.6000 will more than likely be the Tac and the 453.1500 will be the new dispatch Channel. I will update the post when this happens.. I would say November, I will start testing in October.

On the EBRCSA System, We are supporting the project but no decision has been made yet. We have granted the authority permission to use our sites at Walpert and Garin. I know they are working really hard at building a nice system.

Hayward Fire Update

New Frequency line up effective today. I promised I would update the group so here you go.

Hayward Dispatch 1 453.1500
Hayward Command 2 460.6000

Hayward Command 3, 4, 5 and 6 are all Alameda County Talk Groups

VFire 21 was also known as Alameda County Red

Command 21 is a San Mateo County Channel that is used on the bridge.

Hope this helps. Happy scanning

DCALZADA:
I show 460.1625 PL 156.7 Hz as Tac 1 and 460.0875 Pl 156.7 Hz as Tac 2? Confirm you have changed frequencies? 453.150 as Dispatch and 460.600 as Command 1?
