Wink Help Please

Can anyone tell me what Satcom Frequencies I can hear from my location. I live in Lafayette, LA and would love to hear the US Government Satcoms.

While someone else may be able to give you the specific frequencies, I need to forewarn you that after you locate and lock on to the satelite, all you will get is a raw digital signal. To get anything useful you will need to follow any frequency changes and bust the world's finest encryption. Best of luck.

There is still an amount of in the clear traffic to hear including satellite pirates and cargo planes heading to Antarctica. On rare occasions you might hear half the conversation in the clear where they thought they were encrypted but screwed up and talked about sensitive stuff anyways.

See the East coast listings at UHF SATCOM Downlinks Receivable in North America . You're definitely in the footprint of the CONUS constellation satellites (roughly to the SSE of you) and possibly the LANT constellation as well (ESE of you, but may be over the horizon).
