Hi all

There is an open mic on 266.8650 mhz. Signal is weak and scratchy but I can hear people talking in the background. I don't think it's english.

Whoever it was just hung up the phone. I get a lot of phone conversations on that frequency. Making beeping noises again. Now talking. It's some foreign satcom phone system.

Found this on a web search.
266.850 SW 30 KHz Ch 34 - PAC: UFO4 177.1W Russian/Altai? phone audio 20121021 (edges of passband)
266.950 SW 30 KHz Ch 35 - PAC: UFO8 173.3E Russian/Altai? phone audio 20121021 (edges of passband)

The stuff I here is in that freq range. It comes and goes.

When I heard one of these several years ago I was using a DMC-120 antenna on the driveway in front of the garage door pointing low and directly East which makes no sense for my location. Maybe someone down south was using one.

Was checking the milcom monitoring post site and found that the frequency is 266.8625 mhz and another freq at 266.9375 mhz Telcom phone systems. Possible russian and portuguese. Just set my scanner for that freq of 266.8625 and it comes in good. If you do a search between 266 mhz and 267 mhz use a step of 6.25 khz
