Win97 Question For Don

Hi,

I'm just getting back into scanning after a year or so off.
I tried Win97, an excellent pgm, sent in a money order, and never heard back. I then used the 180 day key, (thanks!)
but it's now expired.

So, here's my question - I tried to use my Visa debit card to re-order another key, but it gets declined. (It's got money on it.) Can I use one of those Visa gift cards? If not, I was wondering if I send another money order, what the chances are of getting a key in a timely manner?

I REALLY like the software, and don't even use my Pro-97 without it. I don't mind buying another key, it's worth it, but just let me know how I can go about it. Thanks,

Don't send money orders, he doesn't accept them anymore, he hasn't updated the message on his website either. Your card may have been rejected because you may have put in incorrect information, like transposed some numbers or wrong dates. You need to get information precise and look for the email to arrive. I got mine in about 45 seconds from the time I put my debit card number in.

I haven't accepted money orders (or any other "postal" payments) in a long time - well over a year. That's why those methods of registration are not listed on the web site.

A "gift card" almost certainly won't work. My credit card processor requires an "address verification" - their reason for this is to protect buyer and merchant against fraud. Of course, a "gift card" doesn't have any address information associated with it, so the "address verification" will always fail.

"Debit cards" usually work. However, some banks don't handle the address verification step - resulting in a 'declined' or 'AVS mismatch' error.

Though I'm no fan of banks, (financial, not scanner) I gotta love instant service. Got same second service from Starrsoft for my win97 key. I am stoked - my Pro97 aint a door stop any more.
