Default 996T/246T and ARC/BcTool Question

Hi Guys:

I'm wondering if this is doable via software. I have a 996T and a 246T. I use the Butel software mostly, and have been playing with BcTool for a day or two as well. I want to scan the Brevard County, Florida Edacs system, which has 300-400 or so TGs, too much for one system I guess. Can I split the TGs into separate groups and assign them group quick keys, or do I need to use separate systems? I want to use the RR database download feature in the software to do this. In the past, I have downloaded the data, but have needed to use the " id search" feature, and not all the TGs had text tags, just the AFS id.

Any thought appreciated!

Per system you can store 250 (996) or 200 (246) talkgroups. This is a limitation of the scanner.
The best workaround is to use multiple systems and assign them the same unique system quickkey/system name.
