None that I am aware of. Win97 is well worth the $25 for it will save you a bunch of time and if you are like me I am always changing things.

Win 97 but it's only free for 30 days, then you have to pay the 30 dollars for registration but it's well worth it, I downloaded a bunch of frequencies during the first 30 days. I ended up getting the Win96 too for my Pro 96 as well. It's very user friendly and makes programming a snap. I might add it's also worth it to become a premium member on this site as well because you get to download the frequencies from RR to the Win program and transfer it to your radio.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm definitely leaning towards WIN97, but just wanted to check first.

I have a PRO97 scanner with Win97 version 1.19 jprogram and having a great deal of trouble loading the Id numbers for a 800 Motorola system. I keep getting this message:
Bank 0, talkgroup id 0-1 <valley comma>, invalid is<25237> id must be in range 0-0204(0-7FFHex)
I try to imput the id numbers by the DEC HEX OR AFS. I try to save the file and the above mentioned error mentioned shows up on the screen. How do I get the id numbers I want to save to the file for use?
