Pro-106/Win500 Monitoring

Hi,
I am trying to listen to transmissions on my Pro-106 through my laptop computer speakers, however, even after I connected the audio cable, I still don't hear anything when I am on the Win500 Remote Monitoring Client. I tried using the Windows Sound Recorder to see if I was picking up anything from the scanner, and it did. Why am I not able to hear it live on Win500?

Are you also running Win500 in its "Monitor/Control" mode? The "Remote Monitoring Client" doesn't talk directly to the scanner - it only receives display/logging/audio information from Win500 itself.

Update: Fixed the problem. I didn't know that I had to actually enable the remote server connection and then open the Remote Monitoring Client. I am able to record and listen to transmissions now -- Thanks! I just want to make sure that other people will not be able to hear my scanner if I am on the localhost, port 8086. I appreciate everyone's help!
