I'll agree that the OP's problems are most likely NOT Don's. I have WIN92, WIN93, WIN95 & WIN97 and have had ZERO problems. I might add that he's made all of the programs I have available free except WIN97, but WIN97 is well worth what is being asked.
There are other programs out there for some of these scanners and they either do not work at all, cost more, or both! I "laugh" at people who complain to Don because they lost their key (and want their money back, etc). I wonder if these same people would complain to General Motors if the lost their key to their automobile. Why should this be any different? It's also equivalent to people who call tech support because their computer won't turn on, only to learn later they have to plug it in (yes this stuff really happens - my sister works for a major tech support company).
If Don was to provide the kind of 24/7 or "immediate" support that most people think they are entitled to, he'd have to charge 10+ times more for this software. Ironically, the reason most people go this route in the first place (when there is a choice) is because of the low cost. You can't have it both ways.
