Question Help with programming BCD996T

I was advised to do this (If you want to monitor Allegan county, put in the Fennville and Wayland towers. Then add your talkgroups.) so I could get the most from Allegan County Area but not sure how to even do this. My subscription expires today on the 20th so I'm scrambling trying to get this thing done before my Scanner turns into a pumpkin Any help would be great.

Thanks

You didn't say what, if any, software you have. I am going to assume you don't have any. Then you should download BCtool web site at the bottom of that. This is one of two free programs. Since you are pressed for time, I'll only go with this one. After you install it, go to Tools, Radio Reference, Import Sys, It will ask you to log onto Radio Reference. Then select your state, county, and the Alegan County system. Then import it into BCtool, and then you can download that to your scanner. While you are at it, you may want to import other things. You can do that one at a time, or all at once.

Edit: I see from your other post that you probably have Butel Arc996. The principle is the same, except you go to Internet, Radio reference, trunks systems. After import the trunk sys, you can go back and get any conventional(non-trunked) frequencies.

See my edit. BTW, you may also want to get Michigan Public Safety Communications (MPSCS). For this, you will need to select sites within a 20-30 radius to download, but you should ask on the MI forum how to handle that system.
