Default BC396 + pro software

I have a issue that has suddenly come up with either my scanner or software or running them together like during virtual control.

I like to record off my 396 in a base setting and all of the sudden It's like when the scanner pics up traffic it wants to fade or even skip and then at the same time it will emit a beep as if the channel is being changed.

I have gone through the scanner to even add delays and hold time where I didn't have to do it before a couple of days ago and it doesn't seem to work. I didn't notice an issue when the software is not conected and I'm just running the scanner normally.

I have closed everything out and reopended to ensure there wasn't a temp issue and have even disconnected and reconnected my usb cable to the scanner.

Any thoughts? Any similar issues?

Thanks.

It would help if you said which software you are using. Did you perhaps add an alert tone to some channels? I use that quite frequently to alert me when a little-used channel is being used. That might be the source of the 'beep'. Dump your programming and attach it as a zip file so others can look at it, and perhaps make a diagnosis.

Note also that you can't put a delay on each channel. That's one of the shortcomings of this DMA stuff. If you want certain channels to have a delay, I think you would need to set up a new system so the delay applies system-wide. 73 Mike

The software being used is the butel pro version and yes I do use the tone alert for some channels but this tone is the same as if the channel is being manually changed or the scan button is being pressed or any other key for that matter since they are the same.

You probably enabled one of the 'quick log' options in Virtual Control (Log Settings tab).

Ok I just called my wife and had her check the quick log functions and the only one that was entered was sub tone detection but I had her unclick it but the issue still exist.

Please tell me what should be there so I can call my wife back to chage what ever it is that needs to be changed.

Check that 'resume scanning after' is set to disabled and the 'log and resume' and 'log and lockout' options are not selected.
