Default Program PRO-106 with ARC500

Downloaded program----Did search for trunked frequencies---saved---but can't get to upload to scanner---seems like I'm missing a step or data cable from Radio Shack (20-047) is dead---is there and led light to show if cable operable? Or do I not have scanner set correctly to receive upload? Thanks for help from all?

You need to install the driver for the cable. Windows should automatically detect it and install the driver for it.

Make sure you do not use the short cable piece that comes with the 20-047.
I was trying to load my scanner using that. Took that piece off and it works great.

I have the purchased version of ARC500 with the PRO-106 installed. I think the driver was installed fine. I am not using the short adapter piece. When I click on vitural control I only get the vitural template on the computer screen and nothing more. It seems the program does not see the scanner. The windows device manager says I am on port 6 at 9600 baud. Is that right? Do I do anything to the program or the scanner to adjust the com port or the baud?

Howdy all,
Thanks for all the info. Never did use mono adaptor. It was something about they way the drivers installed. I installed and unistalled 3 times then it took. Don't know why. I even went to scannermaster.com and looked at there installation procedure and followed it just to make sure I was doing it the same. There was and extra step they had, maybe that was what I missed.
