Arc 160

Anyone else find that when using ARC 160 on a PRO 162, Motorola systems Bank Name doesn't make the transfer from the software to the scanner? The data's good, just the name piece is off..

It doesn't go in on the imported RR data, doesn't go in when I clear the name out and replace it with a short 5 or 6 character word and resend to the scanner. Tried restarting the software, tried rebuilding the programming from scratch, nothing. All other trunk systems (edacs) and conventionals made it in just fine. Easy enough to fix on the scanner, but the point is that the software should work....am I missing something?

There are 4 Motorola systems in my area. I use ARC 160 to program my PRO-162 and the bank name shows up on all of them.
I know it's a pain, but try deleting and downloading ARC 160 again. There could be a corrupted file in there.

Well, I tried uninstall/reinstall, and still am not getting MOT systems bank name to transfer. Edacs and conv systems are.

Hopefully, Gommert will see this and may have some suggestion.

Ok, I got the file.
A temporary fix is to change the step of the first VHF/UHF plan from 10.0 to 12.5. After that the name should upload ok, the next release of ARC160 will have an extra check to avoid this problem.

Thankyou for the new update, but cannot download it using either FF or IE. When I started ARC160 V1.01 build 1 it said there was a new upate available. With my browsers I can get as far as URL: http://www.butel.nl/download/arc160/arc160.zip and it seems to hang on a script. Earlier this week my current version of ARC160 downloaded just fine.

Hello BuTel Software,

I got the new update downloaded and installed. Bank group IDs and Talk group IDs all seem to be getting transferred back and forth between the computer (Windows 2000) and scanner (Pro-160) CORRECTLY. Good job Gommert. But there is a new 'message' which happens when I upload to the scanner. This message appears and I click on 'ok' to dismiss it and then it appears 5 more times for a total of 6. Not all of the settings get transferred to the scanner correctly, but this new version is a welcome improvement. As we would say in the US: It's a keeper!

Thankyou for another good update to ARC160. This new update does NOT show that strange message which I reported to you here just yesterday. I have not given this update extensive testing, but all seems to be working fine with the Pro-160 scanner.
