Question BCD396T Not Working After Trying To Upload Firmware Update

I attempted to upgrade the firmware on my scanner and was successful in installing ESN Loader V1_20_13. However, when I attempted to update V03_02_02, I keep receiving an error message stating that it cannot detect my scanner. Believing that this might be a result of having the old style serial cable I purchased the USB cord and received it today, but still am receiving the same email. Also, since trying to update the V03, now my scanner no longer works at all. When powering it on, it just blinks on and off and the keypad will not work on anything. I can hold down the L/O and the 6 keys and achieve the solid blue screen, but the error I receive when trying to install the firmware is the following: "Programming error!! Please check the following." Changing the com ports causes an error message stating that my scanner is not detected at all. I need help in getting this working again ASAP. I'm stuck.

Update. I got the uploader V2.0.0.7 to install, but when i try to run the new firmware upgrade and put the reg key in and stuff...it still doesn't recognize my scanner as connected. I have two choices for com ports and one gives me the error that it is the wrong port and the other just tells me to connect my scanner.

Please disregard this thread. I have resolved the issue. Turns out that I had downloaded the zip file, but hadn't extracted it. So, everytime I tried to run it, it was trying to do so from the zip. I extracted it and it worked fine. I'm a moron.

No, Uniden's programmers are the morons. If you try to feed it the wrong file, the updater claims that you have a communications problem. No checks to verify that the user is supplying an actual firmware file. This bug has been around from day one and even though it's been reported numerous times, they won't fix it. Freakin' typical. So how's that UASD rebanding update coming along? Jeebus.
