Default Parallels and Win 97

I'm a bit confused, will Win 97 work O.K. with only Parallels installed on an Intel Mac or do you have to also partition your hard drive, plus use parallels to use Win 97 software? I'd rather not partition my hard drive if it can be avoided.
Thank you for your time, I did search the archives but didn't find an answer.

WIN97 and other Windows based scanning programs work just fine running under Parallels. You don't have to partition anything, Parallels does it for you.

You do, of course, have to install a version of Windows too. I happened to own a full Windows 2000 version, so that's what I am running.

I'm running most of the WIN9x programs, the Uniden USAD and some of the Butel programs all under Parallels and they work just fine. Nothing special needed...

Smile Parallels

"WIN97 and other Windows based scanning programs work just fine running under Parallels."

Hey thanks! What a relief, I've copied all of the pertinent info from this great list and have the software, so tomorrow sometime I'll get on it; I'm really anxious to see what frequencies I have in my scanners ( 97 & 164) and what mistakes I may have made putting them in manually. RR has really helped me in the short time I've been a member!
