Default Web Import Crippled in win97 Trial?

I can't seem to get web import to work in the trial version. I get as far as "Web Import Settings" and I'm taken back to the frequency list.

What happens when you try:

File > Web Import > RadioReference.com > [type]

None of Don's stuff is crippled - the trials are just time-limited.

Meanwhile, also check here for latest version Software for RadioShack PRO-series (PRO-92, 93, 95, 96, 97, 99, 163, 164, 106, 197) and GRE PSR-series (PSR-500, 600, 300, 400) scanners . also make sure you have the drivers for your cable installed correctly & that the com ports are available & working

Thanks for the quick reply, I thought he might not have limited the trial version, I can upload and download to the scanner via win97, I just can't use web import, Using a Radio Shack 20-047 USB Cable and I installed the drivers from FTDI's website . I'm using com4. It's not a deal breaker I REALLY like the software and I'll most likely register it, I would like to get the webimport feature going though.
Thanks once again

There's this note on the WIN-97 site regarding imports from RadioReference. Hope it resolves your issue.

WinXX / RadioReference.com Conventional Frequency Import

Web Import Settings ??

I am not sure where that might be...I don't have Win97 but AFAIK the Win96 and Win97 <File> menu read the same. <File> ==> <Web Import> ==> <Radio Reference> ==> <Trunked systems> or <Conventional frequencies>

Are you seeing something different? I can tell you that the trial version and the paid for version of all the Starrsoft software is functionally identical. Nothing is disabled, the trial version just quits working after 30 days.

Default Thanks to All for the Help

Thanks to all for your suggestions. What I had to do was un-install the driver from FTDI and reboot the machine and then re-install the driver. Once I did that all was well.
Thanks once again
