Default ID Tracker II (Current Version) Locks Up

I have never had this before but after running for about 45 minutes ID Tracker locks up on my computer. I am running Windows Vista. I have been running ID Tracker with Vista for the past year now and haven't had any problems. Anyone have ideas what is going on?

Are the lockups consistent? Is it locking up on the same ID or system each time?

Do you know what version you had previously? I don't believe the changes in the update would have caused any lockups.

I had the last version before this update. I have been using this new version since its been out with no problems. Yesterday I moved my computer and plugged everything back in and now ID Tracker locks up after some time. Yesterday is the first time I've ran into this problem. Maybe its nothing to do with the program...maybe its something with my computer?

I was playing around with this today and it seems its something to do with my USB connection and port settings. For some reason my driver for the connection is not working. Haven't been able to fix it yet. I'm using PSR 600. When I go to update GRE's USB cable driver, the driver does not work. Anyone have any ideas?

The reason I suspect its something with my ports and USB connections is after awhile ID Tracker locks up and does not respond to the scanner. Today when I run ID Tracker the display is updated very slowly (you can tell the connection is off) and after a few minutes freezes up. I tried using Win500, and after awhile the connection with the scanner is lost and I get this connection error (picture is attached). I am able to send/retrieve data between the computer and scanner until this error message comes up. I'm not sure what to do...my drivers are updated and as far as I know no other program is using the port that my scanner uses.

After playing around with my port settings I was able to get things fixed. Thanks for the help. This thread can be closed.
