Pro 106 Programming w/USB Cable

Hi All

I have downloaded Win500, got the subscription to Radio Reference, and have downloaded my local info into Win500 files. I have the RS USB cable w/software. I am having problems with Win500 recognizing my scanner. When I hook it up, Win 500 gives error "No Response from Scanner" and I cannot upload to it. I have a Windows XP system, selected the 32 bit folder for the driver, and am using the cable with the 3" adapter (stereo to mono). It looks like the drivers are installed correctly and the TX light on the cable blinks only once when I start the download to the scanner. I have plugged the cable in first before I start Win500. I have the PR0-106 on, and have tried it scanning as well as in the program mode. Does anyone have any ideas on this? There are no instructions that are of any use with either the cable or in the PRO-106 manual.

Try it with out the adapter.
