I was wondering if anyone knew how to make simple changes to a system without having to send the entire system to the scanner all over again. For example, lets say i would like to change the alert notification for a particular channel. After I make the change in the software, How do I get that change to take effect in the scanner?

You can't, you need to resend the whole system.
