I have a BC780 xlt and just ggot the Butel software.. I am having issues, I can not get it to read the radio.. I think it might because I only have vista.. I would love if someone could help me on this.. esp if they dont mind doing it on the phone.. Please email me at tac9227@aol.com

check comports & see if they match up in the software & device manager. 1st Unstall all cable drivers & then unplug cable.. install drivers 1st & reboot & plug cable in then try it, also iinstall & run in Admin mode

Check the remote setting on the 780, press and hold the "E" button until "RMT" shows on the display.

If you're on a 64-bit version of Vista (or XP), you're boned. The really old ARC stuff is actually 16-bit software, and the 64-bit OSes removed support for 16-bit apps.
