I use it with some of my older scanners, and it does (annoyingly) crash on me on occasion. Please go ahead and report these on the ScanControl Yahoo group, where the author (Ken D.) can be easily found

Thumbs down Scan Control CRASHES

The reason im asking is I bought 7.1.0 PRO and the tech support department told me im the only one of the over 2000 registered users that says its buggy and that no one is having any issues with it.

What scanners are you using SC with? No doubt there are better alternatives. If you are using one of the Uniden DMA scanners, FreeScan is freeware, and a far better choice. Doesn't crash hardly at all....73 Mike

I use Scan Control on my RS Pro-2052. I seem to recall after reloading my operating system, I had some issues with Scan Control and run time errors. Turns out, after doing all the Windows updates the run time errors stopped.

Be sure all your updates, critcal, security and non-critical have been applied before installing Scan Control, and those run time errors should disappear hopefully.

Did all the updates before and after I bought a Acer one with XP updated it put scancontrol 7 Pro on it you can't size the screens to get to the buttons on the pages that SUCKS and it has the same runtime issues as my desk top and all scancontrol can say is it must be the configuration on my computer cause no one else hase any issues I new version 5 had runtime issues in it cause a friend bought it and I hoped that by version 7 they would have fixed that but nope so far and it seems a few others are expierencing the same issues that scancontrol says don't exist?

Default Scan Control Ver 7.1

I have Scan Control installed on 2 BCD996Ts and one 396T and have never experienced a run-time error.
