Exclamation Freescan update

I am using Freescan version 8e. When I click on check for updates, the window freezes for a few seconds, and then nothing. I went to the Scannow.org web site and tried to download the 9b version, and it was saved to my documents. when I try to load it it comes back with an error message. I thought about removing Freescan, and then loading it again, but thought I would post here first. Any ideas??

Thanks
Mark

Uninstall the previous version, if you are still getting an error message though, try clearing your browser cache and redownloading.

cpuerror,

I have Vista x64, and I installed and reinstalled FreeSCAN .9B. I am trying to build a conventional system from data I copy to clipboad from a spreadsheet. When I press Ez-Grab, I do not get the
"1. Copy from clipboard" button. I do get the "Clear All", "2. Import Into", and the "3. Close" buttons.

I do get all the Ez-Grab buttons for frequencies and TGIDs when building a trunk system. I can't believe no one else is complaining about this, or maybe I am looking in the wrong forum topic.

Thanks, Peter

I have a screen shot of the Ez-Grab window, but I do not know how to include it in this post.

Pete if you hit the 'quote' button, then scroll toward the bottom, there's a rather large button that says 'manage attachments'.

It might be more useful to supply a copy of the spreadsheet so Assaf can recreate the problem. You will need to zip (compress) it up using one of the popular utilities (such as WinZip or 7Fm) then you can attach it to the message.

This is the screen shot.. it doesn't matter what I have in the clipboard.. I just don't even have the number "1. Copy from clipboard" button. Maybe cpuerror doesn't see my post because I am am buried in a previous thread?

Thanks for the tip on attachment management... neat

I did get your email this morning. Sometimes I don't respond right away either because I have to run or want to test something first. You are actually the second person this week to tell me about this problem, seems to happen when running very high resolutions. But I will look into and get a fix out for the next version.

I think I know whats wrong. The problem is that you have your font set to non standard 120DPI. To fix this, right click on the desktop, goto Personalize, and click on 96dpi and restart.

Thank you, Cpuerror,

Here is the screen shot. Now I just have to figure out how to make the deskktop font larger so my wife and I can read the print. I have a Dell 22" monitor.
