Wirelessly posted (LGE-VX9100/1.0 UP.Browser/6.2.3.2 (GUI) MMP/2.0)

are FreeScan, Win92, Win93, and Win95 able to transfer data using a cable that uses serial port at computer and has 1/8" plug on other end?

Can't speak for the Radio Shack scanner, but a 1/8" phone plug is not the appropriate plug for the 996 or 396.
