Thumbs up Updated Win97 and Win500 Versions Available

Hi Folks,

I just checked Don Starr's site [www.starrsoft.com] and new versions are available for Win97 and Win500 (the two programs I use). I imagine Don has everything upgraded for the RadioReference.com change over this week.

The three apps have been updated as of 0800 this morning (PDT). The only change is a bug fix in the new "RRLib.dll" file.

Well, when I checked yesterday morning, the available Win500 version was 1.82. This morning, it is version 1.84 and it works with the SOAP protocol that RR.com is going to at the end of the week.

There may have been a bug fix between 1.83 and 1.84 but I could not find any announcement of the availability of either one on here during the previous 24 hours. That makes 1.84 an update.

If you want to blow this off as just a bug fix, that's fine, but a LOT of folks are going to be a little upset when their 1.82 version won't download frequencies from RR.com using the web download function come Saturday morning.

Version 1.83 was made available early yesterday afternoon (12:36 PDT) and was the first version that used RadioReference's "SOAP" protocol that has been available for several months and which will be the only Web Service method in a few days.

Version 1.84 was released about 3 hours later and consisted of bug fixes.

My above post, where I said "The only change is a bug fix in the new "RRLib.dll" file", was in reference to the previous sentence in that post: "The three apps have been updated as of 0800 this morning (PDT).". My above post was an attempt at letting people know that, after your posts announcing the RR SOAP support, the apps have been updated to fix a bug.
