Win500 conventional problem
Seems like I can't add conventional frequencies in 1.84(or 1.82 for that matter just upgraded to see if that fixed my problem) I click on the grid and select add item at end but nothing changes for me so I can't add frequencies. Is there something I'm missing?

By "Add at Item at End" I believe it defaults to List 1, so if you're specifically trying to add to a certain List, change the dropdown menu to "All" or "1" to see the blank conventional template at the bottom.

Uh,no this is on a BLANK list(this is on scan list 12 which I've named MILAIR) since it's blank add item at end should show the first row since this is a new list so frequencies can be added.
I just tried to add a line to the end in one of my conventional channels,it just goes to the last frequency and doesn't add a line underneath as a test

Well when I do a blank one and click "New Item at End" it defaults to Scan List 1 (everytime). Not whichever I might be viewing (which seems to be 12 in your case). Did you go check Scan List 1 in the drop down menu to see if it (Channel 25.000000 Auto Search 0) was there?
If not, please be more specific.

Are you saying you are starting with nothing "new template" or do you already have filled lists,in my case from scan 1 to scan 11? looking at scan list one I already have frequencies in that and no "Channel 25.000000 Auto Search 0". You are using Win500 1.84 as well?
I should note this is for my Pro 106 and NOT my Pro 2096 which I have win96 for.

Are you trying to add a new conventional channel in the "CONV Objects" tab? If so, is the "Show Scan List" item above the grid set to "All"?

I went to the conventional channel(MILAR #12) and added new item at end(nothing happens)when I put the Show Scan List back to all from 12 it shows up(as added in list 12 but shows up in Scan List set to all at the end of the list).
Seems like if I add a frequency to that last one it goes no where and not in any other list and not added in my MILAIR list.
Edit: it shows up in my first list channel not in the channel intended to be added to(it's on the end of the first list channel)

When you add a new conventional channel by selecting "New item at end", it always adds a new CONV object to the very end of the list of CONV objects (that's what "at end" is supposed to indicate).
The new CONV object so created is mapped to exactly one scan list: the scan list set in "Default Scan List" on the General Settings tab. If you're not looking at that scan list in the CONV tab, you won't see the new CONV object until you set the CONV Objects tab's "Show Scan List" item to either "All" or the scan list set via "Default Scan List".

Which DLL is reported in the error message?
If it's RRLib.DLL, make sure that file is in the same directory as Win500.EXE (and not within a fake "compressed file directory").
If it's MSVCR71.DLL, download this Microsoft file and put it in the same directory as Win500.EXE.

So I put the Default scan list to 12 then? and change it the next time I want to add frequencies to any conventional channel(when I want to add frequencies to that particular channel?)?
Ahah! that works! I set Default Scan list to 12 then go to list 12 and add item to end that works! I know what to do now to add(never had that problem in Win96?)
Got my MILAIR list set up,thanks Don,my life is made easier lol

That's one way to do it. I do it another way:
1. Default Scan List = 20 (my "dumping ground")
2. Whenever I add new CONV data in Win500, I make sure scan list 20 is shown
3. Add new CONV objects, then edit each one to change their scan list membership to what I really want.

You never had the problem in Win96 because it's a completely different architecture. In the PRO-96, every conventional channel belongs to exactly one "bank". In the PSR-500 family, a conventional channel can belong to zero or more (up to 22, including Skywarn and Fav) scan lists. Because of that fundamental difference, Win500 presents the data in a completely different manner.

I did all this like you requested and I still get the same errors! This is unreal. Is there anyone I can talk to and trouble shoot this issue? I spent a good deal of money on this software and it is now not working.

Answer Don's question(s). He is the author of the software so you "are talking" to the top dog.
