Default Win 96 v 1.61 Error Message on Download

Hi Don,

I just downloaded the latest version. I received an error message "Error: Access violation at 0x73DD11E6 (tried to read from 0x37DE6C05), program terminated"

Here's what I did:
1. selected four different TRS systems in Pima County (AZ) to load (TEP, Raytheon, Federal Prison, and APS) and downloaded them to banks 0 to 3
2. selected done from the web input pop-up.
3. re-accessed the web input functionality to input some conventional stuff.
4. selected the ANG, DMAFB, and Civilian aiport frequencies.
5. I had to delete three frequencies, since it was too much for the bank
6. imported those fine.
7. went back to select all the Fire and EMS components in Pima County.
8. After I selected all of them, got an error message, as stated above. I made a screen copy, albeit crappy looking, and attached it here. I noticed in the backgorund, on the application screen, right after the GVFD-2-Disp Alpha Tag, the next two Alpha Tags are gobble-di-gook (Tech speak). Perhaps that is the issue or a clue ?

Thanks for updating the program

I'm not sure what that particular error message means, but do you have Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 or greater installed on that system?

Previous versions of Win96 did _not_ require you to have .NET installed. But the latest version (which supports the new import facility of RR) requires that you have Microsoft .NET 1.1 [or greater I assume] installed.

See the IMPORTANT notice at PRO-96 Software - Win96 - Data Management Software for the RadioShack PRO-96 and PRO-2096 Digital Trunking Scanners

If you do have .NET 1.1 or greater installed then I'm not sure what that error means. If you _just_ installed .NET when you downloaded the latest Win96, then you will want to make sure that you have rebooted your computer after the .NET install.

Hi Mike,

Saw the earlier message traffic on this with .NET, but that is not the issue here. I am running version 3.5.

The program worked fine until I tried to do the last import, that's when it crashed

Thanks,
