Why Did RR Change the Importing of Data?

Does anyone know why this was done? Was there a good reason to do this?

Now BuTel users are broken until August 10th or 15th, and Don Starr is being inundated with questions regarding the Win family with new versions of his software that he had to develop to work with the new importing method.

The old importing method worked just fine. At least for me it did. Maybe the expression "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies here?

No offense to Don Starr, but Im going to wait awhile for things to stabilize before I download and install any new releases of the Win family.

I just downloaded the new updated ARC 396 PRO software for my 396 Uniden scanner v3.1 from Butel web site and the Radioweb Service works perfect with the changes that RadioReference have made.
