Is there any thing i need to do to get the radios ids to show up on talk groups in the Win 96 software???

WIN96 is not used to program the PRO106, you can turn on Radio ID's by going into the special global menu. To access the menu press PGM/FUNC/F3 scroll to the bottom and SHOWRADIO ID: YES instead of NO. In WIN500 the option is in the extended settings tab then click Show Radio ID's for group calls.

And to anticipate the obvious question about what software to use with the 106 (Win96 won't do it, as Astrak notes), there are 3 that are the champs - ARC500, PSRedit500 and the one a lot of folks seem to use, Win500. There is also a tutorial on how to use Win500 with the RR Web service, linked from the Utah scanner group wiki.

Okay, assuming you really did mean WIN500, you will find "Show Radio IDs for group calls" on the right side of the page under the Extended Settings tab. Placing a check mark in that box and uploading to the scanner so it sees the change will do the trick. Gathering RIDs will only work with a Wild Card TG. However, if you have a Radio ID you want to track, it can be programmed in using DEC format like any other TG object and be scanned as such.
