Unhappy win 500 question

if i modify a template is there a way to reload it back the the pro 106. i just keep getting the same talk groups in the same order when i reload the new template ???? i have vo1.80 is there a update to this one yet

Maybe this is too elementary, but you have to save the modified template as a file (just to be safe) then select "Upload to Scanner"......it should upload your changes to the scanner.

I just saved it a reloaded it to the scanner an still the same stuff i have no clue what iam doing wrong. should i wipe the scanner out and reload ever thing again.

As Highpockets indicates, there has been a couple of updates to the software and you need to update your software to the latest version of v1.89.

Would you also describe what changes you are trying to make and what you have done to make them.

here is what i have done on a trunked system i have moved some talk groups around in order just like on the real radio that we have so i can be set up just like the radio the software will not seam to save those changes

You changed the order of talkgroups within the software... did you also "renumber" them (the "ID" column)? If not, your changes won't have any effect on the scanner - the scanner always displays objects sorted by Object ID.

To renumber the Object IDs of your rearranged talkgroups within Win500, select those talkgroups on the TSYS Objects tab, right click on one of the selected talkgroups, and select "Reassign Object IDs..." from the menu that appears. You'll be prompted for a starting ID # as well as a step value.
