Default Starrsoft Win 500 Question

Hi,

Have been away from all of this for a while.

Is there a place in the software where one can change the time that the scan "sits" on a found
conversation after the conversation ends before resuming scanning ? Where ?

Would like to add a few more seconds before the resumption of scanning to see if there is any more to the conversation.

If so, what do you folks use for a value ?

Thanks,
Bob

On either the conventional screen or the TSYS screen, at the bottom right there is a box to type in the delay time you want. Click the object you want to change the delay for, and just enter it into the box. Also, if you right click where it says "Alpha tags, Frequency, Scan list Map, etc..." there is an option to add columns. If it's not already there, you can also add a place to set the delay time on each object's info line as well as the box in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

Default From OP: Just A Bit More On

Hello,

Much thanks for reply. Appreciate it.

Two "clarifications", please:

If one has the box at the bottom right set, and perhaps a few individual lines set ("each object's info line") as well with values, which controls ?

What values do you folks use ?

Thanks,
Bob

My delay is set to 4000 (in the WIN500 software) on all TGs and conventional frequencies. That gives me four seconds before the scanner releases back to scanning after copying a transmission. That may seem like a long time, but I have found it to give me more information when a respondent is slow in keying up his mic and more importantly, it gives time for me to get to the PAUSE or MAN key to hold on that TG or conventional frequency if something is going down that I want to continue listening to.

EDIT TO ADD: The default delay time is two seconds. In WIN500 you will see the default delay time shown as, "2000."

On the frequencies where I use delay, I just use the default 2 seconds.
