Exclamation ARC-XT Software Bug Version 1.2 Build 1

This problem has been reported to Butel. If a 396 or 996 trs file already has a system quick key assigned and is imported into ARC-XT and a "new" different value trs system quick key is assigned, ARC-XT will not replace the "old" 396 or 996 trs system quick key number with the "new" trs system quick key number at the system level. The result is when the target trs system displays in the browser section the "old" incorrect 396 or 996 trs system quick key displays on the system level and the correct different "new" ARC-XT trs system quick key displays correctly at the site level.

After many hours of trying to delete the incorrect "old" trs system level quick key, I concluded it was impossible to do so. There may be other ways the ARC-XT user might fix the problem but I finally found one way that works. Save and close ALL systems in the browser. Open all affected trs that have the incorrect system quick key display problem. From the toolbar select the drop down menu for "quick keys". Select the option to "clear all quick keys". Open each affected trs system file and reassign the correct system quick key. This time ARC-XT will display the assigned trs quick key correctly at both the system and site levels. Save all corrected trs files.

Conventional imported files that previously had a quick key assigned and a new different quick key assigned in ARC-XT process the newly assigned system quick key correctly.

"This problem has been reported to Butel".....Yes, of course. Gommert is Butel. He said he would check it out. I was programming a 396XT at the time and was "dead in the water" until hours later by trial and error finally found a workaround.

I have not had the problem you are describing, but a very related problem. I am finding that I can not delete SQKs. I can replace them with different values (thus the difference from your issue), but if I just replace them with "NONE", they remain assigned to the previous SQK.

Basically it is the same problem of not correctly processing quick key assignments at the trs system level. In my opinion it is a programming deficiency issue that will require the broadcast of an updated version of ARC-XT.
