I'm not sure about the squelch. I don't hear a squelch tail when scanning a trunked system. As far as scanning Scan List 2, simply press the number 2 key on the scanner's key pad while it is scanning and that will enable Scan List 2.

Also, please do not type in all CAPITAL letters. It is like yelling in person.

If you're monitoring a digital system, the squelch is disabled because it's not needed.

Well, it isn't quite that simple. What programming software are you using? Have you ever used a scanner before?

PUNKY, it sounds to me like you have done everything correctly, but something is missing. I do not use, nor am I familiar with PSREdit so at this point I am hoping someone else will lend a hand here. If you were using WIN500 I would ask you to send a copy of the file you uploaded to me so I could try to locate the problem.

Hang in there. In the meantime, open your PSREdit and look at the file. Make sure all of the TGs are assigned a Scan List.

Are you hearing anything at all when you go into scan?

I imported just as you did and used default Scanlist 1. Yours will work but you've limited the WVInop to troop 3 which may be somewhat new with little activity for Randolph CO.

I would have selected Controls and Alts, which would give you two more frequencies in case they change to an alt frequency. Also, a wildcard and private wildcard may be prudent for your new area. These could be placed in Scanlist 2 so you could choose when to monitor them. Ie, if you check Enable Hit Counts in General Configuration and are away from scanner for period of time, using list 2 will identify talkgroups not yet listed for your area. Of course, the scanner should be running and you can also keep list 1 enabled.

On return, simply download from radio to check hit counts.

I scan WVInop at least once a year while traveling through (both directions) on I-64.
