Default Win500 Error

Have not had time to ever learn the Win500 software I purchased for my PSR500 radio.

Now hopeing to have time to learn more about it. I had previously downloaded frequencies for it, and then downloaded the list to the radio.

When I just now tried I am getting the following error.

XML error detected: no element found

near:

while requesting URL:
http://www.radioreference.com/apps/xml1.1/?ol=1

I am sure I am probably many versions behind. Please would appeciate any advise on the cause of this error and what I need to do to resolve it.

Thanks

Just download the latest version, and re-install it.

Win500: PSR-500, PSR-600, PRO-106, PRO-197 Scanner Software for Data Management, Monitoring, and Control

Thanks for the help. I downloaded the newer version and error cleared. I am working away from home on a laptop with an aircard and not getting a real good signal. The program hung most everytime I tried to import. It would let me select the country, state, county, etc, but it would hang before it displayed available freqs, or would hang when I clicked on import. I will try again this evening and see if it works better, otherwise will wait until I havea good WIFI connection.

Does any of this apply??

IMPORTANT: Win500 v1.83 (and later) requires Microsoft's .NET runtime. If you do not have .NET installed (usually indicated by "DLL errors" when you try to run Win500), you can get .NET 1.1 from Microsoft via this link.
NOTE: As of 17:28 PDT 31 July 2009, the new "RRLib.dll" file has changed to fix a problem with trunking system imports. I did not increase the main program's version number. You can either download the new version of the DLL via this link, extracting the DLL from the ZIP file into the directory on your machine where that file currently resides, or you can re-download the entire program via the link above.
IMPORTANT: Win500 v1.74 (and later) requires the latest version of the drivers for the USB / Serial programming cable. FTDI, the manufacturer of the chipset used in the GRE/RS programming cable, makes those drivers available here.
Note to Linux users: If you need to access the USB/Serial cable as a 'COM port' under Wine, you can download the current version of Win500 built to use COM ports instead of accessing the cable directly. This ZIP contains only a rebuilt/renamed version of the EXE file - you'll need the rest of the files from the main Win500.zip file above.
