Default Uniden BCD996XT Software advice

New to the forum.and need advice on what is the best programming software for the BCD996XT?

Just to get your feet wet, FreeScan is the way to go, I think. You can move on to Proscan or ARC-XT later. FreeScan is regards..Mike

I second the suggest of FreeScan. I use it with my 996T and it works great, I even donated some money to the cause. I don't know how it stacks up against Proscan or any of the others but I do know that it is lightyears ahead of the crap Uniden has for the scanner.
