Default Uniden BCD996XT Software advice

New to the forum.and need advice on what is the best programming software for the BCD996XT?

I use Proscan with my Uniden's . Im happy !

Just to get your feet wet, FreeScan is the way to go, I think. You can move on to Proscan or ARC-XT later. FreeScan is freeware....best regards..Mike

I second the suggest of FreeScan. I use it with my 996T and it works great, I even donated some money to the cause. I don't know how it stacks up against Proscan or any of the others but I do know that it is lightyears ahead of the crap Uniden has for the scanner.
