I e-mailed Don yesterday and have not as yet heard anything.

Thanks

If it's a how-do-I-do-this type question, please ask - Don is not the only one that could answer it. We've got lots of Winxxx users here, and they could very likely answer your question (as long as it doesn't have to do with registration keys...). Which package are you asking about?

Of course it would help greatly if you spelled the name correctly- it's 'StaRRsoft' not 'Statsoft' - perhaps you can get one of the forum managers to rename the thread...they're all listed at the bottom of the page when you are viewing the topics in the forum.

Default Thanks

I did send e-mail to don@starrsoft.com.
I don't know if you would call this a registration key question or not.
Here is the text of the e-mail ...

************************************************** *************************
Some time age I used win500 to program a GRE PSR 600
< I "thought" I paid for a key, but I could be wrong>.
Is it possible to install the software on more then one machine?
I would like to do the actual programing from my desktop and
do the uploading from my laptop, how can I handle this ?

Don Ritchie, K8ZGW

************************************************** ************************

Thanks Don

You may want to use a different e-mail address for quicker response. From the Win-500 registration page (Win500: Management, Monitoring, and Control Software for the GRE PSR-500/600 Digital Scanners)...

Do you the registration key Don sent you when you purchase software? Yes you can download the software to other computers that belongs to you and use the same registration keys to unlock program. The second part of question you cannot program your frequencies in one computer then downloaded from another computer, because the other computer will have different frequencies or might be empty if nothing is programmed into it. You need to download from the same computer you program your frequencies, then upload from your scanner to the other computer or option two send your self an email from your save win500 file and open it from the other computer.

When I alter my programming with Win500, I save the files to a flash drive (same one where I store my Win500 key). Whether I use the laptop or the PC, I can take the flash drive with me to either one and access any of my scanner files. Small flash drives are incredibly cheap these days. Not a big deal to get one and dedicate it to Win500 and scanners.

What a great idea I will go out today and buy two of them one for win500 and the other for arc-500pro . Thanks

Default I'm still waiting

You would think if someone is selling a product,
they would answer an e-mail asking a question.

This makes me wonder if I would be better off buying
psredit500, of course they haven't answered me either.

OK, putting the data files on a flash drive, will work.
I have a number of them around, and as you said, they are cheap.

Thanks

Don
