Default ARC XT Question

Testing some web importing using this software, I think I found a bug. Frequencies that use a DPL tone, the tone is not importing into the software. PL tones seem to work fine but DPL's are not. If this has been asked before I apologize. Software bug or database bug?

In order to test whether this is a DB issue, we need to know precisely what you were importing- we can then try it with FreeScan and other software...Mike

I tried it with a few Counties in MA. First Barnstable then Plymouth then Norfolk, and the results are conclusive. Any town that uses a DPL, that tone (DPL) is not importing into the ARC software. PL tones are importing fine.

Confirmed! And I tried a few in PA with same results as in MA. I have XTpro V1.8 build 3.. This must be a recent bug, as I never had that problem with earlier versions.. Hopefully, Gommert from Butel will see this and comment. BTW, FreeSCAN is OK, so it is not a DB issue.

Another recurring bug is the failure to auto load the saved profile. It just started doing this, and not when I upgraded. No, I don't have the virtual control checked. I seemed to recall Gommert recommending deleting the folder "c:/butelsoap" Did that without any improvement. So I just restored it, and now the auto load is working, but it was acting up before I deleted it???.

Confirmed here as well.

DPL's are not importing using ARC-XT PRO - V1.8 Build 3.

Also confirming that those same DPL's do import properly when using Free Scan.

Build 4 released today fixes the DPL issue. Also seems to have fixed the profile auto load, although I have seen this to come and go. Hopefully, it will continue to work.

Using ARC Basic here, the update may not have been applied to this?

It would be very unlikely they would do one and not the other. Their software update versions page is way out of date, so I can't tell. Just Downloads and see if it is updated

Since there are more things that can go wrong with the Pro vs Basic, it does not surprise me that build #'s are different. Did latest version solve the problem??

Apparently the update to the PRO version has fixed the issue, but not on the BASIC version.

Still no change. Hoping Gommert from Butel sees this thread and has some input?
