Win500 ?

I been trying to get hold of StarrSoft.com. become of I had some PC problems. My license key did not work when I got my PC back from repair shop. they replace my hard and I lost everything. I try post here, Email, I even found a phone number and talk to someone she said that he was not home. I understand that I got the license key in 09 and I may need to pay $35.00 again but( the agreement had no time limit) I think I need to move on and look for another program. Can someone tell me the best program I could get function somewhat like win500

Butel makes the ARC-500. You can try their test program if you'd like. I have both. Personally I like Don's program much more. If you did not keep a backup of the license key somewhere, then yes you'd probably have to buy the program again license again with either of the companies (although I think that Butel charges a "fee" to replace a lost license if you they verify that you indeed made a prior purchase of the software.

I have replaced hard drives on my computer many times and never had any problem using my original registration keys for Win500.

I have replaced my entire computer twice since purchasing the original registration, and never had any problems with using the original Win500 keys.

Are you sure you are entering BOTH the "address line key", and the "number key" that were sent to you when you registered?

It's best to cut and paste both lines to avoid mistakes.

There are other programs out there such as PsrEdit,

PSREdit - Configuration Editors for the new GRE line of scanners

and ARC500,

GRE GRECOM RadioShack PRO-106 PRO106 PRO-197 PRO197 PSR-500 PSR-600 PRO-106 PRO106 PRO-197 PRO197 PSR500 PSR600 Software

but there is no reason your original Win500 keys shouldn't work.

The OP states that he still has the registration keys, he is saying that they don't work now.

I forget which software it is, but I had to enter the code just as I recieved it, as I said I don't rember which software it was but I had to enter my name, address and email address no spaces. I remember I tried to copy and paste,and it didn't work, I had to type it in before it worked.

If you have a Win500 key you must put it in exactly how it was sent to you. In the name area it would look kind of like this and the key like this.
Name: John Smith johnpublic@youremail.com 123 S. Broadway St. 90123
Key: AB12-1234-1AB2-1234
Notice that in the name area there are 60 characters this includes all the letter,numbers,symbols,and spaces it would have to be but in exactly like it is sent to you. Never change a thing and do not double space because that adds a character or more.
If you purchase new software print the registration page and keep it safe. I have had a total of six keys from that many scanner programs and have used them on about nine new hard drives and never had a problem.

Mr. Starr does indeed stand behind his software.

My guess is that you are still not entering the keys properly.

If you have his original e-mail where he provided the id and key he suggests cutting and pasting to the software. This eliminates the error of copying a long string of characters by hand. It works!

That was pointed out to the OP earlier in this thread but something doesn't seem right, it's just not that difficult.
