Win500 Light control

I have the same question as shown below (never had a reply)...my light control DID turn it off and on up until today...now it works as described below....any ideas?

Once it was on, I was unable to turn it off by pressing the button again. I reached over to the actual scanner, pressed the light button, and the light went off. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Is there a trick to get the light to extinguish?

Works for Me, I just checked it.
It dims, then it's off, and then back on.
