[WIN500] Error Message when trying to record audio

[AMDXP]

I get the following error when I attempt to record audio:

WAVEIN:2:A device ID has been used that is out of range for your system

Error occurs only when I have the Record Audio check marked and click start.

There is no error message when I have the Record Audio check box unmarked.

There is no recorded audio when I have this message.

System Specs:

Windows 7
Core i5 processor
8 GB RAM
Using Built in Realtek Audio on board sound.
